Berlin, Germany From 3 to 7 June the Flying Grass Carpet landed at the International Design Festival DMY in Berlin. We had the best spot, right behind the entrance. So the first and the last thing visitors would see was The Flying Grass Carpet. At the opening BLISS gave a BLISSful picnic. They handed out free champagne and strawberries. There The Flying Grass Carpet Team gave a presentation at the Pecha Kucha Night. After the persentation everybody was invited to dance all night with the musical support of many DJ's. Party time! |

The Baby Grass Carpet Rotterdam, The Netherlands Galerie op de Rotte, (Galery on the river The Rotte) 28 June – 30 September 2008 The cute and irresistible Baby Grass Carpet has started traveling as well. It has found a nice spot to land: on the quay of the river De Rotte in Rotterdam. Here the Baby Grass Carpet joins in the art festival Galerie op de Rotte. This year the festival held its 10th an- niversary and what makes this festival so special is that every year all the pieces stand in or fl oat on the water. On the Baby Grass Carpet you can enjoy the art in the river, throw a line out to catch a fi sh or contemplatively look out over the water. |

Aachen, Germany Temporäre Gärtens (Temorary Gardens), Pferdelandpark 14-29 June 2008 The second destination was Aachen, to join in the art festival Temporay Gardens. This time the Flying Grass Carpet landed in a fi eld and the contrast between the real and the artifi cial grass made it a special experience. The Temporary Gardens covered an extensive area and visitors found the Flying Grass Carpet ideal for a having a rest before heading towards the other installations and gardens. |

Amsterdam, The Netherlands De Kunstvlaai (the Art Pie), Westergasfabriek 10-18 May 2008 The journey has started and the Flying Grass Carpet made its fi rst stop at the internatio- nal art fair de Kunstvlaai (the Art Pie). The Flying Grass Carpet was invited by Mothership to join in this art fair. The girls from BLISS gave a nice opening performance and friendly lured everybody onto the Flying Grass Carpet for a glass of champagne and juicy straw- berries. The weather was lovely and everyday the Flying Grass Carpet was heavily used for pic- nics, sunbathing and to get together with friends. Some people even forgot to go home and slept on the Flying Grass Carpet. |
